With a passion for education and a vision of helping youth of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds to get equipped for life after high school, DeAndre’ Nixon founded iN Education, Inc. in 2005; it received its 501c (3) nonprofit status in September of 2007. Born and raised in Akron, Nixon realized there is an opportunity to serve the students of the Northeast Ohio corridor who will benefit from programming that will prepare and equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in college or the workforce.
The Scholooza career and workforce readiness program is our launch product and keystone program. It serves as an educational and workforce development tool for career awareness, exploration, and planning.

Most frequent questions and answers
Scholooza is designed in two ways:
A) general exploration of industries
B) industry-specific courses
The general program is designed in a way that allows you to thoroughly explore any industry by following a step-by-step guide.
The industry-specific expanded courses are focused on the following industries: event planning and business essentials (administration).
Most of the curriculum focuses on the industry itself. With Scholooza, you begin the course by learning about yourself—your strengths, weaknesses, interests, motivators, and aspirations. Using different methods, you will then evaluate the best route for you while exploring the industry you are interested in.
The basic program is free. It is funded by our accountability partners and donors who invested in this program and who believe in providing opportunities for grade 7 to 12 students across Northeast Ohio. Students and adults needing additional one-on-one coaching, please inquire.
Our primary focus is on providing this program to Northeast Ohio students; however, we do accept students from outside this corridor. Please contact us directly to verify availability of seats.
One-on-one learning is available upon request. Fees may apply.
Case studies and e-books will be provided. The industry-specific courses may require a textbook that can be purchased for $30–$70. E-book versions and used copies of some textbooks may be found at a lower price on Amazon.
You must be in grade 7 to 12 and enrolled in a recognized school or a homeschool program.

Classes are virtual. We use an online classroom. Links will be provided.
Typically, class size may range from 3-15 students. The teacher to student ratio is 1:20.
The program runs for 12 weeks.
Admission intake will occur the first week of every month from February to April 2021 unless otherwise specified.
