Scholooza is our launch product and keystone program. Nearly 500 youth have completed it and produced the following events: Summit 2010 Buchtel Neighborhood Group’s Community Day, Financial Literacy workshops, and the Battle of the Teal – 4EDU. Ninety-five percent (95%) of past participants entered college and 97% obtained employment related to the industry of study.
The Scholooza Program is a twelve-month course that has been offering up to 80 youth from Northeast Ohio each year the opportunity to engage in Career Technical Education, which links careers to students’ school curriculum (with an emphasis on Math and English). It provides hands-on experience in the Services industry allowing middle and high school students to “try a profession,” thereby enabling career development as well as community service.
Event Coordination and Management course brings together the five sub-industries of Marketing (Social Media, Sales, Fundraising, Environmental Management and Accounting/Financial Literacy), our students can learn a wide array of skills, develop strengths, and explore their professional interests which, in turn, will help them to choose their college and/or career path. The program equips our students with important life as well as marketable skills no matter in what sector they will eventually work. This year (2017/2018), we are planning to expand the program to include not only students who are primarily interested in the event planning side but also those who are signing up to participate as contestants in the annual Battle of the Teal-4EDU event.
Currently we have line up of following Scholooza courses: Special Event Coordination & Management, Sales Executive, Marketing, CEO, Hospitality, and Environmental Management. Contact us for more details!
