Education is the process of gaining knowledge, skills and values. It not only develops mind, bodies and spirits through learning and experience but also transmits information, culture and beliefs from one generation to the next.

How education impacts one’s life is very well described by the this saying :

“Gift a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” – Maimonides.

Education not only makes you a better person but also helps develop your overall personality. Education socializes children into society by instilling cultural values and norms, equipping them with the skills necessary to become productive members of the society.

So, education should be a Universal Right for all children irrespective of the community, caste, creed and Disability.

4  Developing Unique Personalities

It allows children to learn at their own pace and in a way that best suits their individual needs and learning styles. When they learn and succeed, it builds their confidence, helping them recognise their own value and capabilities.

Human Potential

Special education not only help individuals with special needs but also help society and the world by promoting equity, inclusion and human potential.

1  Fosters an Inclusive society–  It ensures that everyone, regardless of ability, has access to learning. This nurtures a more compassionate and Inclusive society.

2  Reduces Long-term Social cost– Early intervention and Education reduce dependence on social services and health-care in the long run by helping individuals with special needs become more Independent and self- sufficient.

3  Encourages Innovation– It drives advancements in teaching strategies, technology and accessibility-benefiting not only special needs learners but also the general education system.
