A Stroll for the Soul: The TEAL Art Walk Experience

The Project

iN Education, an Ohio-based youth development nonprofit organization (NPO), is organizing a TEAL Art Walk for the TEAL Art Fest in North Ridgeville on July 19, 2025. The purpose of the TEAL Art Walk is to raise awareness of the creative benefits of art as they relate to the mental health of K-12 students in Northeast Ohio and beyond. Additionally, we aim to raise funds to continue offering art-related youth development services and programs for K-12 students as well as community partners and stakeholders of iN Education, Inc.

Why Call It “TEAL”?

The color teal resonates with our vision and mission as it symbolizes elegance, creativity, calmness, concentration, uniqueness, and infinity. People who are drawn to or favor teal are more likely to be open-minded, less judgmental toward others, and artistically inclined.

The Project Details

The TEAL Art Walk is a vibrant highlight of the annual TEAL Art Fest, organized by iN Education. Residents of Lorain County, and beyond, will gather at South Central Park in North Ridgeville on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the afternoon. As a group, we will take a gentle stroll around the pond, focus on the present moment, and enjoy the peacefulness of the area’s natural surroundings. Reflection stations will be scattered along the walking path to help us learn about the benefits of mindfulness, self-awareness, and the arts for mental health. The soft launch of the walk is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us. While registration is preferred, it is not required. Those who choose to register at a specific level to support our TEAL Art Walk campaign will receive a free T-shirt!

The Collective Impact

Education is the foundation of a generation’s ability to survive and thrive in the future. Each generation faces new challenges, and our education system must continually engage, motivate and stimulate our students to be adequately prepared to meet those challenges. The next generation of aspiring leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs will lead far more complicated, diverse people who are well informed yet unprepared. It’s imperative to influence and shape newer generations for a better future.

As Life Coaches, Mentors, and Educators, we aim to guide K-12 students through their journey toward self-actualization and self-awareness. We firmly believe that individuals who understand their talents, skills, and interests are more likely to continue developing them and improving themselves as they grow. Such individuals are also more inclined to choose career paths that align with their natural abilities and interests. Consequently, they are likely to find greater enjoyment in both their professional and personal lives, which, in turn, positively impacts their attitudes toward others and their commitment to contributing to local, national and global communities.

Our key goals for engagement:

  • Walkers: 100
  • Festival attendees: 1,500
  • Students showcasing their art skills: 50
  • Students served for the year: 4,200
  • Organizations and artists: 75

This project aims to provide a transformative experience for youth, empowering them to join our Junior Production Team. Participants can explore entrepreneurship by becoming vendors and showcasing their creations or performing live at the festival.

The festival will span three exciting days, July 17–19, and will take place against the scenic backdrop of North Ridgeville. It will kick off with a lively opening reception on Thursday, the 17th, featuring a teal carpet that sets the stage for an inspiring exhibit showcasing the artistic talents of K-12 students and young adults. The festivities will conclude on Saturday, the 19th, with the main TEAL Art Fest event.

The festival is free to the public, and attendees can enjoy engaging outdoor activities in the local park, art and food vendors, live performances, and, of course, the TEAL Art Walk around the pond at South Central Park.
