Every decade has a different ebb and flow.
Here and now, climate change, accelerating faster, faster, faster. oh my
Coral reefs bleaching, marine life suffering
Melting ice, heating, wildfires, smokey haze choking
historic floods drowning cities in deep unforgiving waters
political insurrection, aching for the truth
migrants at the border being mistreated, families pulled apart
pandemics, diseases, so much pain
war abroad, terrible suffering
but then
Coming together, celebrating differences
Feeding our neighbors’ body and soul
Helping others in every way, we give and also receive
The youth are strong for showing that a clean environment is a right!
Young leaders developing grit and determination to solve issues and to make scientific advances
This amazing thing called life, experience it
Material things are really not so important
The stars seem closer than ever
Make every moment count
On this planet.
